Springboard Pediatric Therapy was created to give children the support they need in a place designed around how they actually move, play, communicate, and grow.
our story
It started with a simple idea:
the environment matters.
After completing her pediatric occupational therapy training in 1996, Trish O'Brien spent nearly a decade working with children across early intervention, schools, home care, and outpatient therapy.
She loved the work—but kept imagining what pediatric therapy could look like with more room to move, explore, and meet each child where they were. When her father passed away in 2004, it gave her the push to turn that vision into something real. A year later, Springboard Therapy opened its doors with two therapy gyms and a few small treatment rooms
Springboard continued to grow alongside the families it served. Speech and physical therapy were added in 2019, and in 2024, Springboard moved into its current 11,000-square-foot home in Whippany—a space that finally brought that early vision to life on a much bigger scale.
