Mariel Loughlin, PT, DPT
PT
A lifelong gymnast and dancer, Mariel has always loved movement, and she's thrilled to work in a space where movement is both an outlet and a tool she gets to share with the kids she treats every day. Her job gives her purpose, and she finds herself smiling about her patients even outside of work. Mariel is grateful to have built a career centered on lifelong learning, and she loves collaborating with her fellow OTs, PTs, and speech therapists to take a holistic, team-based approach to each child's growth. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Dance Science from Elon University, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University. Mariel holds certifications in DMI A, Task-Specific Electrical Stimulation, DIR 101, and Treating Torticollis, with NISE and DMI B trainings upcoming. Before moving into full-time pediatrics, she treated a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions in outpatient orthopedics, working with patients from three weeks old to 99 years old. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the sun, baking for friends and family, decorating her apartment, reading, and listening to podcasts.
